I’m a product designer who puts people first. Meaning, I want to cut the crap and make sure folks get to the good stuff: the tools that make a difference in their day. Designs that delight. Patterns that empower. Systems that simply make sense.
That doesn’t just mean the user — over the last eight (8) years I’ve proven I can lead design projects with panache, fun, and empathy, while always striving to encourage and support the folks around me. I’m always looking to tell a good story, and if I’ve learned anything it’s that there’s always something to learn. At the end of the day, I want to create things that give back, whether that’s time, money, confidence, or joy. I want to make magic out of pixels.

SNAGAJOB | STAFF PRODUCT DESIGNER
JUN 22 - PRESENT
I’m currently leading design with the Search Experience team at Snagajob to help hourly workers find the best jobs for their needs. So far I’ve:
Completely reimagined and redesigned the Search flow - including facilitating a vision workshop with cross-functional partners
Developed and delivered on roadmap items that have led to massive improvements in conversion, applications, and revenue
Governed and expanded our worker-side library as part of our larger design system
COMPASS | STAFF PRODUCT DESIGNER
NOV 21 - JUN 22
I led Recommendations team at Compass to create an entirely new subflow for nurturing agent prospects in our CRM. My goal is to have a subflow where agents can easily see who they should talk to in their network and how to engage with them over the long haul. Activities include:
Led design in the recommendations workspace to help agents identify and win likely-to-sell opportunities
Designed an entirely new subflow for nurturing prospects over time that supports Compass’s new information architecture direction
Facilitated a 5-day north star workshop to reimagine the recommendations space that delivered a realistic prototype and user testing findings
DEEp Space co-op | founder/co-owner
JUL 20 - AUG 22
I’m one of five founders of a democratically-run, collectively-owned music and arts cooperative in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. We launched with the goal of providing end-to-end production resources for musicians and artists in KC, allowing our members the ability to create, refine, and showcase their work from a safe space during the pandemic. Some things we’ve enabled our members to do are:
Develop, produce, and promote live and packaged content via community-use tools, equipment and media platforms;
Support key advocacy and relief organizations in the community by providing a safe and inclusive space for events and content production; and
Continue their creative output at a level of quality and quantity rivaling pre-COVID time.
PINTEREST | PRODUCT designer
JUN 21 - NOV 21
I worked on the Ads Guidance team to design Pinterest’s advertiser experience. My design efforts focused on how we provided recommendations and best practices both proactively and reactively in the ads process with the goal of making business users’ ads more successful and impactful for their spend. My efforts included:
Led experiments in the Recommendations space to expand guidance and optimization messaging to advertisers within the Pinterest Business unit — ultimately to drive ads revenue
Drove an initiative to visualize projected vs. realized impact of ads to build trust amongst user base
Drove the creation of a guidance content & design system to standardize visual identity across the platform and entry points
H&R BLOCK| Senior ux designer
DEC 19 - APR 21
I led the redesign of H&R Block’s Return Wrap Up application. It helps Block’s tax professionals finish up the tax prep interview with confidence and set up their clients for next year with ease. It’s in the market today! My efforts include:
Acting as the key design partner through the entire process from early workshopping to prototyping to feedback and measurement;
Partnering with just about every product stakeholder in the organization to integrate everything from pricing to financial services into one seamless experience;
Implementing in-person and remote testing and measurement plans to gauge success in key metrics, throughout both the rapid prototyping and development processes; and
Collaborating with technical stakeholders to deliver designs, prototypes and functioning code every sprint across a year-long roadmap.
SS&C Technologies| ux designer
JUL 19 - DEC 19
I took on a short-term contract with SS&C to help them build an accessibility-focused whitelabel financial product that was customizable by their clients. By the end of the term, I also led the effort to create a design system that would create alignment and efficiencies between the design team and in-house and off-shore developers. Major deliverables included:
An end-to-end, customer-facing investor dashboard capable of being customized and styled to the client’s brand standards;
A client-specific retirement dashboard simplifiying the visualization of accounts, change over time, and share distribution; and
A living design system with a centralized governance model that standardized design and development practices across multiple teams.
INQUEST MARKETING | CONTENT STRATEGIST
MAR 18 - JUL 19
I worked to develop content strategies for the agency’s clients, produce video and blog content, and created internal brand and voice style guides for the agency. I also delivered a comprehensive UX audit of the agency’s site and helped execute a complete redesign.
INK MAGAZINE | CONTENT STRATEGIST
MAR 18 - JUL 19
I developed content plans and edited freelancer contributions to produce content for Ink Magazine, a culture-focused online magazine published by the Kansas City Star. I also oversaw its email marketing program using Mailchimp in the form of a newsletter outlining the latest and greatest in food, arts, entertainment and more that went out every weekday morning.

NOV 15 - PRESENT
I’m known to keep a few side hustles active from time to time, mainly helping clients tell their brand and value stories through digital products. Meaning: I partner with clients to solve problems for their businesses, usually by designing and producing user-motivated websites, apps, and videos. I’ve partnered with a variety of clients over the years, most often working remotely with folks on the east coast.
CERNER | BUSINESS ANALYST
NOV 15 - JUL 16
I designed and built self-serve analytics dashboards for sales, marketing, and customer satisfaction teams so that they didn’t have to keep digging through raw data on their own — or ask my team to do it for the nth time.
